A liberating experience beyond your expectations...
A Union Dance production, Heaven on Earth is a programme of work that embraces the notion of collaboration on a creative level with the intention of conveying peace with integrity. The creative theme driving this project focuses on finding our place in the world; a space to believe in, bringing comfort and strength.
Heaven on Earth expresses a state of being connected to time and the world, of belonging to the here and now. Through exploring shared experience, emotion and human spirit, this production proposes that all of us can enjoy heaven on earth. No answers will be given but an evocation of emotions that touch the senses, and an experience shared with the audience based on the philosophy of pleasure.
Visual images, Afro-European music and Hip Hop influences will meet to create a breathtaking yet emotive context.
Union Dance is delighted to include an additional third dance work Two Bye Two in the programme for The Place. Two Bye Two features choreography by our new resident choreographer Anh Ngoc Nguyen. Anh received the new British choreography Bonnie Bird Award in 2005 and was one of the 20 choreographers in The Place Prize 2006. He has previously worked with Random Dance and Phoenix Dance Theatre.
Heaven On Earth, showing at The Place and Robin Howard Theatre on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th November at 8pm respectively.
